What is your profession?
For more than 10 years, I’ve been working in human resources management, specifically as a headhunter. My job is to find the best managers for various companies. Because I work as a freelancer, I’m also able to get involved in the activities of Open House Prague.
How did you become a tour guide?
I wanted to focus on something that I would enjoy, to get out of my “human resources bubble”, where I spent most of all my time. I was simply looking for a new impulse, so, given my other interests, I took up a certified course for tour guides, and that was very exciting. Then I started organizing and doing tours for my friends in my free time.
Which building/part of Prague or architectural style is your favorite?
I love baroque architecture and the Renaissance. Having spent many years in an office in Nové Město, it is precisely this part of Prague that I like to go back to. It’s a magical place with many shortcuts and passages that I have discovered over time.
How long have you been working with Open House Prague and what do you like about it?
I joined Open House Prague as a volunteer during the 2018 festival. Since then, I have become a member of the core organizing team. I want to create something new, to give people joy and new memories, to be in touch with like-minded people, and to enjoy Prague. There are so many places that are yet to be discovered and opened to the public, waiting for people to explore what’s behind the closed doors.
What are your hobbies?
Now that I have a child, I don’t have much free time, but whenever I can I try to make other people’s free time a pleasant experience by organizing guided walks and tours for Open House Prague – simply put, it has become very close to my heart!
