Open House Prague 2026
The 2026 Open House Prague festival takes place May 18–24, 2026. The 12th edition of the festival will open more than 100 buildings and spaces around the capital city. Starting May 18, there will also be an eventful accompanying program on the weekdays. Most of the accompanying events are in Czech, but some are also suitable for international visitors. The program also includes guided tours in English. While tours at the open buildings are for free with no pre-registration necessary, some accompanying events do require reservation or purchase of tickets.

Information Center
Starting Monday, May 18, you can visit us at our information center, located at the Hybernská Campus (Hybernská 998/4, Prague 1). The information center is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the weekdays and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the weekend.
We’ll be happy to answer any questions and recommend buildings or events in the accompanying program. You can also get a copy of our festival magazine Open Mag, a map, or one of our festival souvenirs. Every purchase supports our organization. We accept payments by card. The entrance is wheelchair accessible.
We look forward to seeing you!
Themes, Anniversaries & News
One of this year’s themes is the relationship between architectural preservation and urban development. New additions to the program include e.g. two historic estates in Stodůlky – Háje Court and Saukup Farmstead. The Great Strahov Stadium celebrates its 100th anniversary, and we are also commemorating the 100th anniversary of the birth of Zdeněk Kuna, co-designer of the east stand. Another of his projects in the program is the Strojimport building. We are also celebrating the 150th anniversary of the birth of František Roith, architect of the City Mayor’s Residence and the Postal Check Office, as well as the 170th anniversary of the birth of Josef Fanta, whose works include Hlávka Dormitory and the Ministry of Industry and Trade. This year also marks the same anniversary for Josef Sakař, the architect of the National House in Karlín. Another focus is architecture in the service of social solidarity, represented by e.g. Na Zatlance Grammar School, several buildings of the General University Hospital, Palata Home, and the Chodov and Nová slunečnice retirement homes.

Accompanying Program
As every year, the festival’s accompanying program includes guided tours in English for international visitors. These buildings can be found and filtered at the top of this page. Unless specific times are given, English tours take place continually throughout the weekend opening hours. Throughout the week, you can see movies related to architecture and urbanism at the Atlas Cinema; some are scheduled to be shown in English. Other accompanying events suitable for internationals include Rainbow Gospel’s performance at the Hus Congregation in Vinohrady or an exhibition of student works focused on the Bubny quarter at the Hybernská Campus.
App for Latest Updates
During the festival weekend of May 23–24, 2026, the mobile app will show updated information on the traffic in each building, e.g. tour length, waiting time, and notifications about unexpected events. The app also serves as an easy and safe tool to buy and book tickets to all Open House Prague events, including the accompanying festival events. It is available for free download for Android and iOS systems. The app will switch to festival mode in early May, but you’ll be able to book tickets to the accompanying events before that.
