What is your profession?
Project and program management and business development. I am primarily interested in innovative projects, and I am happy when the results of my work also have a socially beneficial impact.
How did you become a tour guide?
I have loved art and architecture since childhood. I enjoy talking about them, and thanks to my friends (especially Mr. Jan Dubnov), I have discovered that I can engage people around me and get them interested in these topics. My involvement in Open House Prague has allowed me to try guiding as a volunteer during the festival, and now I do it year-round.
Which building/part of Prague or architectural style is your favorite?
I love Andrea Palladio’s buildings and, above all, the architecture of the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries. For example, I consider styles such as eclecticism and historicism, which are so often neglected and even disparaged, to be very important and enriching for Prague. I admire the dignified elegance and simplicity of the concrete towers of the Emmaus Monastery church, the ventilation towers of the Strahov tunnels, and the apartment building with a gym by DAM architects on Petrské Square.
How long have you been working with Open House Prague and what do you like about it?
I have been with Open House Prague since 2020 and I am thrilled by the enormous amount of work that this small group – mostly women – has done based solely on their enthusiasm for volunteering and their love of architecture. Thanks to OHP, I also have the opportunity to meet lots of interesting people and, above all, I have made some great friends, for which I am very grateful.
What are your hobbies?
Spending time with my boyfriend, my friends, Prague, art, books, good music and films, old cars, and politics.
