We have chosen three finalists whose works will be presented at the international exhibition of Open House Europe. A vernissage will be held in Athens, Greece in January 2026. A catalog of the exhibited works will also be available, and the exhibition will move to other partner cities in Europe throughout next year.
The competition is not over yet, though; this fall, Visual Stories curators will choose three out of all the submitted works from all of Europe, and the winners will have a unique opportunity to travel to an Open House festival held in one of the partner cities.
With this year’s theme Past Heritage, Future Challenges, the submitted works were required to reflect festival experiences of visitors in any form of visual art – a photo series, a short film, a collection of drawings, or in a single photo. Three authors, whose works we found to be the most captivating, have been selected:
Aneta Ježková
Martin Richter
Alžběta Skřontová
